Rocketing refers to spending a great deal of money on a few important items while spending only an average amount or less on everything else.
“火箭式消費(fèi)”指的是在幾件重要的東西上花費(fèi)許多錢(qián)，而在其他東西上花費(fèi)不多或很少。
Some people will spend lots of money on a few items they really care about, such as their iPhones or their SLR cameras, and then they will go downmarket to Wal-Mart to buy most of the other stuff they don’t care about. Rocketing is occurring at every income level.
